Family Court--Custody, Visitation, Support, Order of Protection cases
CHILD SUPPORT
There are many individuals that are overpaying Child Support payments. The law says that you can modify your Child Support payments if you have experienced a Change in Circumstances since the last child support order was made.
Many individuals, despite having changed circumstances, sit around and let arrears accrue before applying for a Modification. Please be advised that until you apply for a Modification of your existing Child Support Order, your arrears will continue to accrue up to the date you file your Modification petition.
CUSTODY/VISITATION
Every parent, regardless of age, sex or religion has the right to fight for custody or visitation.
Many parents are paying child support, but have no say in the rearing of their children.
Don'tt let the custodial parents violate existing Family Court orders.
FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS AS A PARENT! Parents that fight for Custody or Visitation are often granted more than they ever thought they were entitled to.
ORDER OF PROTECTION
Many people are brought into Court on bogus Family Court Petitions. This often occurs when an ex lover or your spouse has an ulterior motive for seeking an Order of Protection against you. The motive may be to get assigned housing, to get a Green Card, to get Maintenance in a Divorce proceeding, to prevail in a Custody or Visitation proceeding or just to make your life miserable.
An Order of Protection filed against you may have serious consequences. You should therefore strongly consider hiring an Attorney if you are the subject of an Order of Protection proceeding.
